Is that really the last of the summer weather,
such long awaited summer days are almost definitely over for this year at least and who knows we might see a few more hot spells before the week is out !

America's most expensive home - yours for £125 million.

Copper Beech Farm may have the ring of a humble outpost somewhere - but in reality, it's anything but modest.
The estate is the most expensive home on sale in the United States with a price tag of £125 million (€145m).

Located on a private peninsula in Greenwich, Connecticut, the 12-bedroom mansion comes with 50.6 acres of land, which include two offshore islands.
Its current owners simply use the property as a weekend retreat. A swimming pool, hot tub and grass tennis court no doubt adequately cater for a bit of downtime.

At around 40 feet above water, the French renaissance styled home has stunning views of Long Island and a lift to ferry residents and guests between floors - not a bad place to spend a couple of days a week.
Oh and we forgot to mention the nine bathrooms, 10 fireplaces, pool house, carriage house, two greenhouses, and gatehouse.
It's the former home of the prominent Lauder Greenway family, co-founders of U.S. Steel alongside Andrew Carnegie.
This pocket of the United States is certainly no stranger to wealth. Less than an hour from New York City, Greenwich is one of the richest towns in America with at least eight billionaires thought to be residents.
"Rarely do estates of this significance become available, with such exceptional waterfront frontage, acreage, and provenance,” cooed David Ogilvy, from the agents marketing the home, alongside Christie’s International Real Estate.
"Copper Beech Farm has no peers in Greenwich — the only other expansive waterfront estate was developed more than half a century ago — and there are simply no more in existence.”
Suppose it's just the £125 million that could prove to be a minor stumbling block then...
